We're pregnant with our third and know what we're naming a boy no problem but we have two daughters and we've used four names we've LOVED when naming them.

What a great theme! Here are some girl names inspired by children's literature:

Heidi
Pippi - maybe a nickname for Philippa or Penelope
Laura
Anne of Green Gables is a treasure trove: Anne, Diana, Ruby, Josephine/Josie, Emmeline, Shirley, Marilla, just to name a few
Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy
Susan, Lucy
Anastasia
Amelia
Harriet
Claudia

With Alice and Margo ... probably my favorites are Harriet and Heidi.

I hope you keep posting here! I'd love to hear your thoughts and find out what name you choose in the end.

Some names I think go well with Alice and Margo. Some are literary - not sure about the others.

Lydia

Camille

Cecilia

Rebecca (of Sunnybrook Farm)

Judith (Judy Moody series or author Judy Blume)

Heidi

Willow (wind in the willows)

Beverly (maybe instead of Ramona?)

Hi there.

Your dds' names are so fun!

Here are some suggestions if you were to have a third little lady-

Bess-I would generally suggest this as a nn for Beatrix or Beatrice, but you probably couldn't use those for a fn. It's also nice as a nn for Elisabeth, but I don't think that it'd be terrible as a full name if you like it.

Charlotte/Lottie-As in Charlotte's Web!

Daisy-I like this too as a nn for Dorothea, but that's way too clunky w/Alice & Margo. Perhaps just Daisy would work.

Felicity/Fliss-Those are both fun & spunky!

Fern-As in Charlotte's Web!

Hattie...as a nn for Harriet? I don't mind this on its own either.

Ivy

Jemima-Like Jemima Puddle Duck...love it.

June/Junie-Like Junie B. Jones.

Lucy

Louise/Lulu

Maisy...I like this as a nn. May called Maisy would work great w/your girls. Of course Madeline or Matilda are children's literature characters.

Nellie-I love this. I'm okay w/it as a full name, because it was my great grandma's full name, but it's also great as a nn for Penelope.

Nona/Nonie

Penelope/Poppy/Polly/Penny

Rosie...Rose nn Rosie?

Scout-Okay, it's not exactly a children's book, but Scout is so fun! I like it better as a nn too...maybe for Scarlet?

Sally...I like Susanna nn Sally too...or Sadie or Susie. They're all good for you.

Tess

Tallula/Lula/Tula/Lulu

Violet

Wynn/Wynnie

Willa

Hope this helps!
