Our baby girl name!
| Mon, 08-20-2012 - 7:50pm |
I pop on here from time to time and am ready for some advice! We're expecting #3 a baby girl in October. Her big brother's are Sawyer and Oliver. Here is our list, would love your thoughts and any others you'd like to add! We definitely want a GIRL name, I like pretty and feminine. Also a Spanish twist would be great but not required
We are BIG nn people too.
Lucia-Lucy
Amelia-Millie
Gwendolyn(?)-Gwen/Gwenny
Kate
Lola---this is 100% no from my husband. I may have cried (twice) when he said no way
Her middle name will be Nell after my grandmother.
Hi there.
Sawyer & Oliver are great names.
Here are my thoughts on your list:
Lucia-Lucy-Love love love it. It's perfect w/Sawyer & Oliver, & beautiful w/Nell. I like how Lucy & sweet & spunky for a kid, but Lucia sounds more professional for an adult.
Amelia-Millie-I love Amelia (it's my kitty's name!), & the nn Millie is very sweet. However, I kind of feel like I need to suggest Emilia here. It seems to have more of an Hispanic flair (even though I think it's technically Italian), & makes more sense having Millie as the nn.
Gwendolyn(?)-Gwen/Gwenny-I love Gwen, but would totally perfer Gwendolen. I know that Gwendolyn is way more popular, but it's just not the original spelling. In Welsch, the 'lyn' is masculine.
Kate-This just doesn't do it for me. It's so over used. In any case, it would be better for a nn.
Lola-Oh man, this is perfect! Actually, for a Spanish flair, I like Eloisa nn Lola.
More suggestions:
Aurora
Annabel/Annie
Annabella/Annie/Bella
Eliana/Ellie/Ani
Elsa/Elsie
Eleanora/Ellie/Nora/Nellie(ie)-instead of a mn, just use it as a nn to honor your Grandmother. It's almost more special that way imo.
Francesca/Franny/Francie
Gemma
Genevieve/Gigi/Ginny
Georgiana/Gigi/Ani
Leonora
Luciana/Lucy/Ani
Mariana/Ani
Matilda/Millie
Nora
Penelope/Poppy/Polly/Penny/Nell(ie)
Rosalia/Rosie
Vivian/Vivi
Violetta/Vivi
Hope this helps.
how funny, amelia, gwendolyn and lucia are all on my list as well, with your son's name and the mn I like amelia the best. good luck.
