the "problem" with Penelope

We decided to go wtih Penelope Anne for our baby's name (she was born Nov. 13) and while I didn't love Penny at first it has become her name (more specifically Baby Penny as coined by her older sister) and it has grown on me.

The problem I am finding with the name over all is that it's easily mispronounced.

I am glad you posted this. I guess it's true that practically any name can be mispronounced. I hope this is an isolated incident for you!!

Penn-uh-lowp like cantelope? You've got to be kidding me. No offense who whomever in your life made that mistake, but that is seriously dumb. I guess if a child saw it and didn't know any better they might make that mistake like pronouncing catastrophe as kat-a-strope or something.

I'm glad your Penny has never run into this issue.

Over all I get more compliments on the name and they have all pronounced it correctly.
