Sally! I put that in the category of Molly/Holly/Wendy and perhaps the more obscure Polly. They are tried and true, classic even, but they have a certain zing. Nicknames are out. They are feminine, but not demure and exciting withouth being crazy or unfamilar. In those respects, I like Sally!

As for the name in particular, I do think of silly sally, Sally Ride the astronaut and, of course, Mustang Sally. It's def fun!

Love your new siggy Jenna! Bianca is BEAUTIFUL!

As for Sally. I think it is sweet. I think of a lot of the things Jenna said, but I also think of the put down that people use for a boy being a wimp "stop being a Sally." That is the only part I don't like about it, but since it is the first thing that popped into my head, it is one that I would probably avoid.

Very nice pic Jenna!

I do like Sally in reality but I'm not sure how well it would age. Comparing it to the one that's top of our list doesn't do it any justice. Actually, my 3 year old suggested Sally, lol. He was talking about the Dr. Seuss Hears A Who movie and the little girl's name is Sally and then he said 'that would be a good name for my baby sister'. It got me thinking about it even though we have a favourite in mind. He should know better than to suggest new names to Mommy! Lol!

Sally is also on the Cat and the Hat...it's a popular Dr. Seuss name :)

I find the name adorable, I had a friend in high school whose sister was a Sally and it lent well to her teen years....she was a popular, cute little cheerleader so it seemed fiiting.

My DHs grandma also went by Sally, her givename was Sarabelle (actually not sure of the spelling) and she hated it so she always went by Sally.

I think it ages well, but then again my MIL is named Sally so the 1st thing I think of is a 65 year old woman LOL.
