Clementine has been our frontrunner for a while, but we've recently fallen for Wilhelmina nn Willa. So which do you prefer and why?

Clementine Emilia "Cleo" - we probably wouldn't use a nn but like Cleo as an option.

Wilhelmina Wren "Willa" - we would probably call her Willa most of the time.

Siblings are Eleanor, Beatrice, and Reynolds "Rhett"

Middle names are not set in stone.

Thank you!!

Tough call...I like both (having considered Clementine myself,) but I think Wilhelmina is going to be a little more uncommon in the upcoming years (and I do love the other nn of Mina.)

This is easy for me, Wilhelmina. I love Willa, I would have named E Willa if DH agreed. I second the Mina option as well. Thus name has so much upside, uncommon, heard of, spunky nn's, and fits great with your other kiddos.

Clementine always strikes me as cutesy, it doesn't pass my "mirror" test. I would not want my name to be Clementine at this point in my life. For me, it is a name that makes me think the parents are trying too hard to be different. If you remember all of my reservations about using Es name, you'll remember this is my biggest hang up. So, it's probably more of a personal issue with me, than something actually wrong with the name...

This is a tough one for me, too.

For the record, Elspeth does not strike me as "trying too hard to be different" at all. It is a lovely, lovely name, lots of history and appeal but fresh.

I like Clementine and think it would fit in nicely with the siblings' names.
