My boyfriend & I adopted a new kitty yesterday. We already have Amelia Skye 'Mia', & named this new guy Artemis Sebastian 'Ari'. Now, I've read a lot of things that Artemis is a greek goddess, & I'm okay w/that. I really liked Ari, because it means 'lion' in Hebrew. But does anyone know what Artemus means? Is there a more male version to Artemis?

Thanks!

Artemis was the goddess of the hunt. As far as I know, there is no male equivalent. But she was the twin sister of the god Apollo (god of the sun), if that helps.

Of course, Artemis Fowl is male, so maybe that gives you some street cred.

I've heard Artemus as "belonging to the goddess Artemis", from name books, but I don't know how much credit to give that.
