Which do you prefer?

We are really having a hard time coming up with a name for a little boy! We don't know the sex so we should have a name for each sex!
I like names that aren't common. Dh is open to pretty much anything. My older kids have names that are very uncommon but not so out there they are weird!
These are the names for boys we have come up with so far:
Saxon
Saul
Sam (I'm not fond of Samson or Samuel tho!)

Of the names you listed, I like Sam the most. However, I do not really see it as uncommon- if that is what you are looking for.
I like Saul - strong, short name. I don't mind Saxon. Sam I think is too popular with both genders.
Of the three, I like Saul best.
Have you considered Silas?
I like Saxo, but Saxon is cool too.
The pp suggestion of Silas fits too, just like Saul does. Sam is the odd name in the group.
Would you share more of the names your older kids have?
Or do you have some middle name ideas going, that would be inspiring too.
