I have one daughter named Sadie.
I don't really see this as a teasing thing.
Penn's in full-time kindergarten this year, and he hasn't had a bit of teasing about his name yet.
Oh, and I have to add...one of my husband's cousins was going to U-Penn when Penn was born, so he got his share of ready-made "personalized" merchandise.
Kristen, Thanks so much for your response.
My take on teasing it's completely the kid, not the name. Hello, I'm Jenna! Porn star, Jenna-tulls, Jenna-talia and not ONCE did any kid ever say anything to me about my name (haha, until wayyyy later in high school from good friends of mine and I laughed my butt off). Yet I knew kids named Nicholas, Derek and Amanda who were brutalized.
I find that adults either really like the name or they're ambivalent.
