Elise: prefectly likable, but not sparkly. I'm not sure that is a bad thing though...

Beatrix: not my cup of tea, I just don't see it as pretty, but it's not stuffy or unapproachable. I chalk it up to personal differences, and that's what makes the world go round.

Eliza: this I love. Simple, but not plain. Girly, but not frilly. Yet, this one definitely sparkles for me. I don't see how a person named Eliza could be unlikeable.

Katerina: I like this too, but it makes me think of eastern Europe first. It could easily work on an American girl, too. I love nn Kat, so fun and spunky.

Claudia: my favorite on this list. My friend has a four year old Claudia, so I easily associate it with her. She is so pretty with a sweet disposition, so of course it makes the name even more appealing.

Bianca: I like this. It's cute on a girl, but fits a grown woman well. I used to think it sounded a little fancy, but it has warmth and approachability too.

Elise - it's ok. Feels more like a "filler" mn to me. I prefer Elisa.

Beatrix - NMS at all! I know it seems to be coming back but it just feels dated to me!

Eliza - Love it! So spunky and fun! My fav from the list.

Katerina - Love it! Love the nn Kat and love the European feel to the name. It was on my list but DH vetoed it :(

Claudia - I never liked this name, but this pregnancy it's grown on me! I wouldn't use it for my own child, but I like it.

Bianca - Very pretty, but just doesn't "feel right" for me to use. Love the nn B.

Elise - I want to love it because I love E names, but my ear doesn't like the "ise" sound. Not bad though.

Beatrix - Spunky, interesting. Obvioulsy a girls name, but doesn't come across as very feminine to me. Would like to meet a Beatrix. Would be memorable.

Eliza - Always, always always makes me think of Eliza Doolittle from My Fair Lady. I always want to pronounce it with a British accent. :) Not a bad name, just has a strong reference point for me.

Katerina - I'd prefer it with a C. I like this as a more refreshing full name for the nickname Kate/Cate. Prefer it over Katherine. A little foreign/exotic (brings to mind Russia, Eastern Europe).

Claudia - I like this more and more. It's pretty, I think it's a name that grows well, and it's not overly used. There was a Claudia character in the Babysitter's Club books I read as a child so I always think of her - she was funky, artistic, loved fashion.

Bianca - I think a little girl named Bianca would be cute as a button. I see rosy chubby cheeks and blonde curls in pig tails. I love that it doesn't need a nickname. I think it is is a little prissy (I don't mean that negatively, I just can't think of a better word at the moment).

Elise -So I am especially partial to this name i or y. I feel as though it's short, but doesn't come across as nicknamey as many shorter names do.
