I prefer Alexa over Alexis but at least you didn't put Jaelyn in the FN position :)
It's trendy, but Alexis is one of the trendy names that I can stomach.
It's an ok name :)
I voted it's OK. it sounds fine together (without knowing the last name).
I just think Alexis, Alexi, and Alexa are all getting awfully popular and they're all so alike it just makes it seem like there's even more of them
good luck though
I don't like Jaelyn because it's made up and sounds like all of the other trendy names out there- Kayla, Jayla, Kayleigh, Aiden, Jaden, Braden, Caden, etc. As a rule, I hate most of the trendy names, not only because of the way that they sound, but because they're so common.
On the whole, I prefer classic names. Boy names for boys and girl names for girls. I also like to avoid any names that are currently popular, like Emma, Emily, Aiden, Madison, etc. I really don't like the trend of giving girls boys names, like Avery or Emerson or Evan. People don't name their boys Catherine or Anne, so why give all of the boy's names to the girls?
But the worst are names that are spelled incorrectly thinking it will make them more unique.
Like Madysyn, or Renae. It's the same name but spelled incorrectly. It's not unique, it just looks silly.
I understand wanting to honor your surname, but why not Alexis Lyn or Alexis Lynn or even Alexis Linda or Alexis Belinda of Alexis Lynette are perfectly lovely and they're real names.

I knew a LOT of girls named Alexis in the 80s and 90s, so to me the name is kind of trendy and dated (maybe not the same where you live?). It's not a bad name, however, and I know most people will like it if that's your concern. (Makes me think, quite literally, of A Lexus, so I can't get past that, but that's just me lol ... if it were Alexa I wouldn't have that association).
I think the issue people have with Jaelyn is that it has become one of the trendy-popular names recently, at least where I live. It seems like every baby girl with a father named Jason (my cousin's included lol) is named Jaelyn (or at least has it in the mn slot). My husband also happens to be a Jason, but luckily he didn't even suggest it to me lol.
I think you could easily honor your maiden name by using Lyn/Lynn as another poster suggested, or even a more traditional -lyn name, such as Carolyn, Madalyn, Adalyn, Kaitlyn (also popular, I know), etc. Anyway, just a thought!
