i my name is lisa and im from the uk.i had a little boy 13 weeks ago and everytime someone asks his name i get the same question.....is that name american?? i havnt a clue its just a name i heard and really liked.so im hoping you girls could help me give these people an answer..and help me explain it to little MARSHALL when he asks...thanks lisa

My guess as to why people ask if it is american is because it is a term used for a law office similar to a sheriff in small towns in the midwest, south and west...for example Marshal Matt Dillion from the TV show Gunsmoke...
