I honestly think Amelie Giselle is one of the prettiest names I've heard in my entire life. Each time you mention it, my heart skips a little beat. It's SO beautiful.

The other names on your list are very nice. I like all of them. Under other circumstances, I'd probably like them more. But I just don't think any of them are even in the same league as Amelie Giselle.

I know what you mean I've considered so many names and I keep on coming back to it.The thing is I had an aunt named Anne whom I was very close to and feel like I should honour her.Heidi is my dh's suggestion and Lauren is a name we both love and sort of fits with Anne.I do have a feeling she may end up being Amelie though

thanks

I voted for Annabel because it's always been one of my favorites--I like the classics.

Hi
thanks for the post.I'm actually using the German pronunciation of Amelie ah-mee-lee.
I don't know whether that changes anybody's opinion.

Thanks again

Do you pronounce Giselle with the soft G, like in giraffe, or the hard G like in girl?

I'm pronouncing it with a soft G.I believe Giselle is an old German name meaning pledge.I've also read that it means hostage-but I'm ignoring that lol

I love the idea of honoring your aunt, but when it came down to it, I had to vote for Amelie, and I love the prn. Ah-me-lee, and Giselle with a soft G. Nothing on your list compars to Amelie Giselle! Gorgeous, and stunning. A name that will grow with her, and always be an outstanding combo. Good luck and let us know what you decide!

Love Amelie Giselle, though I've only heard the unaccented German form pronounced ah-me-lee, rather than ah-mee-lee (like "a meal-ee," if I'm reading it correctly ... sorry if the second "e" was just a typo, btw LOL).

I believe Giselle is the French form of Gisela (the German form), but all are derived from "gisel," so I'd just use whichever you prefer.

Definitely my favorite combo, overall. ;)

You might also like Jane as an alternative to Jean (which, if I read correctly, is a family mn you were considering). Just a thought!

HTH ;)
