It sounds like the name Skylar/Schuler with a Boston accent.

I love Skye too, but recently I saw that it was actually a boy name (although some sites say either now) and so I thought I'd test out the definitely girl name Skyla. It does sound like a Boston accent now that you mention it :) LOL!

Natalia Skye is beautiful!

I voted that it is okay, but here's my thing. My dd is Skyler, so to me Skyla always seems incomplete or sounds like my ds trying to learn to say his sister's name. JMO.

Hey! I take offense to all of those Boston accent posts!!! Just kidding! I live in Boston and thought the exact same thing. I have actually heard Skyler pronounced as Skyla numerous times. Even though I'm not originally from Boston, I've lived here long enough (almost 21 years) that if I heard the name Skyla I would automatically assume it was Skyler.

It sounds like it should be "Schyler" but has a hick-pronunciation "Schyla"... I don't think it's very pretty and she'll be questioned about her name all her life - please reconsider... Good Luck~

Sky, from the Old Norse sky meaning 'cloud' is used for both sexes as a nature name akin to Leaf, Rose, Hazel, etc.

I really like Skye. And Sklyer is alright. But Skyla just seems incomplete or something to me.

I like your taste in names!
My two girls are named Thalia (Talliah - very nearly Natalia) and Skylar -
