Wow, another vote for Eleanor! This might be one that I'll have to start testing out on DH... (Hopefully, I can get him to move past his beloved Katherine and Erin. :-) )

Thanks!

That's so funny ... we briefly considered Amelia ourselves (but our ln starts with M and didn't sound quite right), and our 4-year-old loved it because it was "just like Amelia Bedelia!" LOL If you still like it as much this time around, I'm sure you could talk him into it (after all, he got his way last time, right?). ;)

I LOVE Eleanor/Nora with your girls -- Meg, Annie and Nora seems perfect to me.

From what I saw, the names that had the most votes are also the most popular names (Nora and Amelia). I really like some of the names on your list that are less common. My vote went to Katrina. I think its very sweet and goes wonderfully. I really love Marina as well, but I couldn't vote for it as you already have a daughter beginning with "M" (I don't know if it bugs you, but it does me). Maleah is my least favourite, it sounds very stuffy. Camilla is REALLY cute as well. It is my second favourite.. now that I think about it, maybe I want to change my vote to this. Cami is a cute nn. Or Mille?

I don't have a strong desire to repeat an initial, but if we loved the name, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I really loved Amelia for DD#2, and we'd probably call her Mia for short, so if we had another girl, she'd sorta share initials with both other DDs. Officially, they'd be Megan, Julianna, and Amelia, but with nns -- Meg, Annie, and Mia.

I like Eleanor/Nora a lot, but I'm gonna have to start working on DH with some of these if I want to have any chance of using them. ;-) His favorites are Katherine and Erin, and I think the only one he likes on this list is Katrina. :-)

Thanks again for your input!

DH would agree with you -- I think the only name he's "agreed" to on this list was Katrina. His other favorites are Katherine and Erin. I tend to like a lot of M names for girls and J names for boys, so I'm not opposed to repeating an initial, but it's not my goal either. I just want something that "feels right."

One thing that I like about Marina is that my grandmother's name was Marilyn, so I could honor her that way and choose a family mn to honor someone else as well.

Maleah is one of my secret loves that no one else ever seems to like. I just really like the sound and look of it, and I think that Leah (or even Molly) would be a cute nn. It probably will never make the cut to the final two or three, but I always keep it in mind. :-)

And Camilla was a late addition inspired by someone else's post. I don't know that it's really my style, but I was testing it out. Again, I really like the nn potential, and I think we talked about Camilla/Camille some with DD#1, but then forgot about it.

Thanks for your input!

I think Ellie is a better Nickname for Eleanor than Nora.
