I would say the most obvious would be "Bea"--but that reminds me too much of Bea Arthur from the Golden Girls, and while I find her character hilarious...she's a bit gruff sometimes and I can't imagine calling a sweet little girl that same name.

Bess and Tess are cute, but I don't think either of them are as obvious a nn for Beatrice as Bea is...and maybe this is a stretch too, but I think it's kind of cute: what about Trixie?

Best of luck to you!

I don't know if Bess is an actual nn for Beatrice (I'm sure you would know better if you are considering the name) but that is the one I like. Bess is cute.

I absolutely love Beatrice! Very beautiful. I am considering Beatrix for my dd, and think the nns Bebe and Trixie are cute. But with the "ice" vs. the "ix" ending, I voted for Bess. Great choice!!

Good Luck!!

Love love LOVE Beatrice! It's georgeous!!!! I think it is such a great name, but DH makes an ugly face when I mention it. Our last name starts with a B, also, so it just wouldn't work. Too bad!

I love the nn Trixie for Beatrice. I think I am about the only one though! lol Another one I can think of is Tracey. I don't particularly care for Bea, and I don't understand how Bess and Tess can from from Beatrice!

Just my 2cents!

I like Bea. It makes me think of a honey bee! I might even spell it Bee. I think Bess is also very cute! Tess is nice, but it's not my favorite.

Good luck!

Hands down I like the nn Bea. I would spell it Bee while she was a baby. Very cute!

Funny though that I don't love the name Beatrice but I do love the nn Bea!

I see where Bess and Tess come from Be-ah-Tress. Tess from the Tress part and Bess from the first letter and Tress. Though I know some pronounce it Be-ah-triss.

The Golden Girls reference won't be around for our children's generation so I wouldn't even consider that.

I like Trixi. I think you can still use Trixi even though you are using Beatrice and not Beatrix.

I also like Bess.

I don't like Bea (Golden Girls - Bea Arthur) or Tess (because I don't see how that comes from Beatrice. Triss, yes, but not Tess).

My neighbors daughters name is Beatrice and they call her Trixie. I think its cute and its very uncommon, not something you hear often. To me that makes it even better.
