I couldn't vote. ;) If Eleanor is just Eleanor, I'd rank them:

I voted for Beatrice but Vivian would be a very close second and I think any of the names would work.
Thanks, Kelli!
Right now, Eleanor is just Eleanor, but she's only a month old so we'll see what happens!
I've never thought of Lucy as a nn for Louise, but I like it.
Aw ... I'd love to meet a month-old little Eleanor. ;) Too sweet.
Beatrix might also appeal (I have both Eleanor and Beatrix on my own lists LOL), and you might find that your dh is more open to Louisa, rather than Louise ... assuming you like them both, of course. Men seem to prefer the softer, "frillier" variations, so figured it was worth a shot.

Well I just asked my 10 year old Eleanor(nn Ella) & she picked Beatrice...which we have short listed before. FWIW her 2 year old baby sister is named Lucy. I don't care for Lucille, we did think about Lucinda nn Lucy but it was to close to my dad's 2nd wife's name- Linda...was that TMI? Anyway I have also tosssed around Vivian & Margaret before too. We are expecting #5 in late Nov & the other girl names I'm looking at are:
Eva, Camille, Hazel & Cordelia. Had my boys been girls they would have been Amelia.
Congrats on picking such a great name :P

Wow, I guess we have similar taste in names!
Wow we really do have the same taste! Everyone of the names you considered we have looked at too!
My 4 kids are Eleanor Katherine, Joseph Patrick, Henry Thomas & Lucy Elizabeth. You wouldn't believe the flack we got from my MIL over Eleanor! I do sometimes wish we would have used Nora as a nn since Ella as a stand alone name is soooo popular. Believe it or not Ella was LESS popular than Eleanor 10 years ago!
All of our kids have been surprises and with this one being the "tie breaker" we will wait till the bitter end :O
For boys top contender is Leo Xavier-that was what Lucy would have been. Other boys names: Silas, Simon, Franklin(family name but don't know if I can have an Eleanor and Franklin!), Miles, Edmund
