I voted "dislike it" only because I would never, ever think to pronounce Bevin as bay-vin. I would pronounce it "bev-in" rhyming with Kevin.

Just my $.02!

Why do you pronounce it (bay-vihn)?? Your little girl would forever have to correct people who call her (bev-in) instead. If you really like that pronounciation better, you should spell it Bavin or Bayvin, or something similar to that, not Bevin. I voted "dislike it" because that is a very unusual way to pronounce it, and frankly, I don't like it. I would never pronounce it (bay-vihn). (Bev-in) sounds so much better.

If I could I would have girls named Keely and Bevin. Don't know why but I fell in love with those names long ago. :) BUT I only love it pronounced Bev in.

I know a little girl named Bevan and love the name pronounced that way. I agree w/ the others - she would never get Bay-vihn from the spelling you have now.

I have never heard it pronounced like that - the only one I know, it's a little girl about 11 years old, it's pronounced the same as Devin, just with a B.

so if you do use it, it'll be mispronounced all her life.
