Bible names for a girl?

I read several posts the other day about Bible names for a girl. One of the names I loved was Abrielle. How do you say this and where does this come from? I have looked on several other sites and haven't found this anywhere. Also, how do you say this -- Abri - ell or Abriel (like Ariel)? (I can't find this post now).

Also if there are any other Bible names for a girl that you know of.. especially A's! Thanks !!

Abrielle, I'd say as ah-BREE-el. You can try here: http://www.behindthename.com/nmc/bibl.html

for the meaning behind some of the more common biblical names

or here:

http://www.jesusanswers.com/names/christian.htm

for an extensive list of Christian names. And my all time favorite:

http://www.catholic.org/saints/

for the best list of angels & saints I've ever seen!

There are some really cool biblical names out there, beyond the standard Veronica, Rachel, Abigail & Leah that get used. There are just sooooooooo many of them that it's impossible to list them all here. I hope you've got the time to look at these sites, they're fun!

JMHO, as always

Hi :)

Abrielle is not found in the Bible at all. Maybe she meant Gabrielle? (the feminine version of Gabriel. Gabriel is Biblical)

Maybe you would like Gabrielle? I find it pretty :)
