Thoughts on this older name? I've seen it spelled both Blythe and Blithe. Which do you think is the original spelling? Like? Dislike? It's a name I've always been attracted to, but most people in my area have either never heard of it, or make a face. So just curious!

I prefer it spelled Blythe, but I'm not fond of the name.

I really like Blythe. I think it's so classy and feminine. Really beautiful.

Were it me, I think I'd have a hard time figuring out a mn to use, though.

I like it A LOT! There is a play called Blithe Spirit by Brit playwright Noel Coward. (Great play, BTW) But I'd keep the spelling Blythe so it doesn't look like a "word" name, KWIM?

I knew a Blythe in high school too. She pronounced it with a soft "th." I like the name very much. Not really cutsey for a baby but it grows up well.

Its kind of hard to say, I'm not sure why. It reminds me of Gilbert Blythe in Anne of Green Gables...
