I'm a little confused because some of those names are only 2-syllable - Simon and Samson
Samuel is pronounced more like it's 2-syllable, very few people actually say SAM-U-ELL when they say it - I know one mom who does and everyone always gives her weird looks when she says it like that. She also has a William and ALWAYS calls him WILL-EE-AAM. they look at her weird on that one too (not just me, honest)
Zachariah has four syllables - what I really like is Zachary - with 3 syllables.
Benjamin is far from UNcommon. very common actually.
I just don't like Maximus, Tobias, Simeon, Sebastien or Solomon at all.
so I'd recommend you go with Zachary.
Other 3-syllable possibilites: Gregory, Timothy, Christopher, Joshua, Donovan, Anthony, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Reginald, Jeremy
Yes, Samson and Simon don't the the syllables I want...but I really like them and can't decide on any others :(
Samuel is always pronounced as Sam-u-el here (french area) so it would have the 3 syllables needed.
4 syllables is fine. I would like to have at least 3 syllables, but more is fine too. 3+
I only know one other Benjamin around here but I think it might be becoming too common for my liking.
I like the name Gregory but my ex-fiance was named Greg so hubby would never agree to that name! Timothy is not bad. Christopher is way popular here. Joshua is my other son. I love the name Nicolas but there are 3 Nicolas in every class and my sis in law already has 3 nephews named Nick. My step sister named her son Nathan. I love Jeremiah but hubby doesn't. Donovan and Reginald just ain't my style. Anthony is very popular in my area and I don't particularly like it either.
Thanks so much for the suggestions!
