Have you considered Holden Louis? I love Holden, so it definitely would have gotten my vote, but can't get past "holdin' Richard."

Otherwise, my vote went to Kevin. I've known a million Stephen/Steves (even my brother LOL), and only one Kevin (oddly enough), so it still seems a bit fresher to me, KWIM? I'm not much for Juniors, either, especially when it's not a longstanding tradition and the parents are considering other options, so that would be my last choice.

HTH ;)

Ooh, I LOVE the suggestion of Holden Louis. Holden is definitely my favorite of your list, but I agree with Kelli on the Holden Richard association -- I snicker every time I see it. I love the name Louis though, and Holden Louis has a terrific flow. And it would honor his father without the bad association. I think it's a definite winner.

If I was going to be a boy my name would have been Kevin. I sometimes think that maybe I should name a boy Kevin but I went to school with a handful or more and it's not my favourite name. Just had to share. :)
