Without knowing your last name, but just going by brothers Brendan and Aaron:

I would stay away from Camden and Rylan because they are both much trendier than your classic Irish Brendan and your solid Old Testament Aaron. I would also stay away from Cameron because it's becoming unisex. That leaves Declan, which is a great Irish name. Two possible negatives, though. One is that there have been some posts by mothers of Declans saying that people seem to have a hard time getting a grip on how to pronounce Declan. I live in Boston, where there are lots of Irish names, so I don't find that, but you may. The other thing is that Brendan and Declan are both very Irish names, whereas Aaron is kind of the odd man out. Not a deal breaker, but...

What about some Old Testament names or other less Irish that are also often used in Ireland? Off the top of my head: Daniel or Martin...

If you like the ABC theme I'd go with Cameron :) Aaron, Brendan, Cameron. I guess you could go w/ Camden too but I love Cameron and I don't like Camden at all :) lol

I voted for Rylan because I think it sounds best with Aaron and Brendan. I like Ryland better though :)

GL! Let us know what you find out tomorrow so we can really get to work! lol

The whole ABC thing came up by accident, Brendan was born first and Aaron was SUPPOSED to be Joel or Brett, but we changed our mind after he was born. I guess I will know tomorrow if I need to continus to stress over another boys name. There are many I like, but none so far that DH and I agree on......although he always said no to he name Aaron until our Aaron was born!

You can be sure that I will post the results from the ultrasound tomorrow. My DH can't attend due to work, and he is so bummed. So I decided to not find out on my own, I am going to have them write it down on paper and put it in an envelope so we can open it at night together. I want him to be a part of it since he is so upset that he can't go to the test.

Thanks for your help!

Nathan is also popular in Ireland, so it would be a name with some Irish derivation that is also a Biblical name, tying all three names together. Just a thought. :)

I thought your post made some great points. DH and I don't want anything real trendy, but we want something that sounds nice with the other 2 boys names. Something classic, but just can't seem to think of any. DH isn't real happy with my choices right now anyway! I am afraid of Cameron due to the fact its becoming a girls name. ONe name I like is Joshua, but that has been in the top 10 for YEARS, maybe even top 5, so we'd like to stay away from something that popular.

Ultrasound in a few hours, so we will soon find out if we need to worry about boy names at all! (although part of me really thinks boy!)

Thanks for you help@

Sounds like you're in the same situation we're in. We are having a boy and we already have two boys, Colin & Nathan. We want this one to end in 'n' also. We're considering Dawson, Jason, Hudson and Rylan.

I was also thinking Rylan (my DH's name is Ryan) so I was thinking that would be too confusing.

I have got to ask you, what did you feel when you found out that you were having another boy? I have to admit, for a quick second, there was that feeling of sadness that I wasn't having a girl. But deep down I knew it was a boy!!! Now all I can think about is saying, "My 3 boys....." Sounds great to me! And I can say that I have always imagined myself with 3 boys, not sure why.

How do you handle when people say to you, "So, are you disappointed its not a girl?" or I have already gotten the "are you going to try again for a girl???"

My response to that last question has been this, "We had always talked of 3 or 4 kids, regardless whether we had 3 boys or not. So we will see how 3 goes, before we decide on having our 4th."

I know there are family members "sad" for us because we are having another boy, and it makes me want to cry thinking that it sounds like this baby isn't as wanted. Maybe this is all pregnancy hormomes and I am imaging it all!!!!!

My DH is thrilled, no matter what we have. He is just so happy that we are so lucky to be having ourt 3rd child. (We have had fertility problems years ago so we feel every pregnancy is a blessing!!!!)

Just wanted to see how another Mom expecting a 3rd boy is handling it.

Thanks!
