Bring "old fashioned" names back to life

I love hearing "old fashion" names make their way back through the present day. My nana's name was Anna Pearl and I just LOVE Pearl. It makes me think of a beautiful girl with flawless, porcelain skin, dark hair, and big bright eyes; or maybe a "Flapper" from the wild and romantic 1920's era. I've decided to name our little girl Pearl, but have chosen Pearl as the middle name. Some of the few we've discussed have been:

Gemma Pearl
Helena Pearl
Maya Pearl (she's due in May)
Lila Pearl
Liah Pearl
Nina Pearl

Nothing has really "grabbed" us yet... Any suggestions???

Hi there. I too love not heard very often old fashioned names. Pearl is wonderful! I'd be pushing for you to use it as a fn, but it's a lovely mn choice as well. Here are my thoughts on your current list-

Gemma Pearl -Oh, that's so so so sweet!

Helena Pearl -This one is not my personal favourite, but it's not bad. I perfer Elena.

Maya Pearl (she's due in May)-Maya is lovely. It may be a tad more popular than you'd perfer, but it's a great name.

Lila Pearl-I love it! It's soft & feminine, but still works for any age.

Liah Pearl -I like Leia Pearl or Leah Pearl, but Liah looks odd.

Nina Pearl-I love the spunk of that one.

Here are some suggestions (sorry for any repeats!)-

Annika Pearl

Beatrice Pearl

Celia Pearl

I think Gemma is a wonderful, not overused name. Gemma Pearl is beautiful. But I actually like all of your other choices (and I am very picky), although I'm not crazy about the spelling of Liah.

I like your idea of Maya Pearl (as long as she is born in May, it will have even that much more meaning to it)...it has a good ring to it Good luck

I think Lila Pearl is beautiful. I can truly picture what you described just by hearing that name.
