Bronwen is the most correct spelling. The -wyn ending is used for boys in Wales. However, I think Bronwyn is the most common spelling here in the U.S., so if you prefer it, I say there's no harm in using it. Either way, it's a lovely name.

I much prefer the y spelling but yes, I've discovered the e spelling is the one correct for girls. Just for that reason, I probably won't do it. I'd hate for her name to declare me a "stupid American!" I thought Charlotte and Bronwyn might make good sisters.

It's funny. I put Bronwyn aside for the same reason. I love the name (and it goes beautifully with Charlotte, btw), but I can't work up the same passion for Bronwen as I do for Bronwyn. I just doesn't look right with the 'e'. But I don't want to appear ignorant, so the 'y' spelling is out.

It's so sad, isn't it?

I love the name - both spellings.

Charlotte and Bronwen...cute! It reminds me of Charlotte Bronte, one of my favs.

Oh my gosh-- that may be the reason I like them together! I hadn't thought of that! I bet somewhere in my subconscious, Charlotte Bronte exists and that's why I like Charlotte and Bronwen together. Good thinking!
