Not so much redneck as pet's name. My parents' poodle is Daisy. Sorry, that's a no vote for me.
What about other character names?
Alice
Belle
Dorothy
Anastasia
Aurora
Ariel
Dory (I actually know a Dory)
Jasmine
What else?
I love Daisy... but everytime I try to picture a grown woman... a judge or a principal with the name Daisy... I just can't manage it.
I guess for me, it's just too 'little girl'
Our daughters name is Daisy-Leine Cydne.
We had the name Daisy even before we had children.
We had two boys and then along came Daisy after 8 years of hoping.
My great grandmothers sister was called Daisy. She was the most beautiful,
refined lady you could ever wish to meet. She was mostly called Dais.
Leine (say Lane) is a mixture of Leisa and Shane.
Cydne was my grandfathers name.
So her name is very special in lots of ways.
We had mixed reactions when she was born, but she is the most
gorgeous little girl, who suits her name so well. We live in New
Zealand, so we don't really have the Daisy Duke connection but we do
have lots of cows potentially called Daisy!!
Funnily enough, my mother is the only one who consistently calls
her Daisy-Leine, she generally gets Daisy Baisy, Daisy Belle, Daisy Blue Eyes,
Daisy Girl. There has never been any negativity towards her name and no
duck or cow jokes!!
It is a beautiful name, dont worry about what other people think.
