Koko Lefay - Koko just doesn't look or sound substantial enough to take a person through her whole life. I think it would be hard to be taken seriously in a lot of professions with this name. Courtney Cox named her daughter CoCo - - but she's in Hollywood.

Sylvan Lefay - I believe this is a French male name. I have friends that have dated hockey players and this one seems to be a popular name in French speaking Canada. Is there a female version you could use?

Lux Lefay - this looks too trendy to me - - kind of like the Crystal and Tiffany type names.

River Lefay - I think this would be mistaken for a boy - - or at least cause confusion. Is there a story behind the choice?

My first question also was if this was for a boy or a girl...the only one to me that really seems like a girl's name is Koko, but spelled like that that it really makes me think of a clown...I think Coco would be much better. I like Sylvie as a nn, though, if you go with Sylvan, but that to me has the immediate association with the much-advertised Sylvan Learning Centers. I know you didn't ask for suggestions on other names, but...you have what seems like a very French last name to me, and a name like Fleur or Tanaquil has the same offbeat sensibilities as your other choices with a nice French-sounding flow. I think personally that Fleur is a lovely name that not a lot of girls with "regular" last names could pull off, but that Fleur LeFay has quite a celebrity ring to it.

But, as always, JMHO!

I just looked at your post again and how you spelled favourite, and I realized you may not be in the U.S.? In that case, Sylvan likely would not have the same association as it would here, of course. Just wanted to amend my post to take note of that realization...
