Choose from my favorites so I can work on getting DH to agree!

  • Matteo Vincent (nn "Tay")
  • Kailen Zane (nn "Kai")
  • Evan Lucas (for all you mainstreamers!)

You will be able to change your vote.

I really like Matteo but I don't like Vincent. So I voted for Evan Lucas. I like Matteo Lucas best, though.

I respect that. Vincent is my dad's and grandfather's name. I don't know why it never occured to me with my other boys that I could honor my dad by using his as a middle name. Maybe as we are all getting older I am realizing that he won't be around forever.

Thanks for voting in my poll. I really like all three names, for different reasons. I don't know how we are going to choose. Maybe we won't need to! LOL!! (We have a girl name all picked out already.)

Deanna, mom to Kristin, Alex, Joshua, ~i~Summer Jaelyn, born still 3/23/02 at 36 weeks, and ~i~Skylar Rose, born still 1/15/04 at 21 weeks and stepmom to Tristin; due 2/8/05 with #6!

I had to chuckle at your notation behind Evan Lucas (for all you mainstreamers) - because I'm normally not a "mainstreamer" but I still voted for Evan Lucas. Kailen is much much too girly, please don't give that to a boy. And on top of that - Kailen and Zane both have a long A in them, so they don't sound good together.

Matteo is the Spanish version of Matthew. unless your child is Latino or Hispanic, I think that's going to be kind of strange. If you had Matthew as the choice instead of Matteo, I would've voted for that. Tay as a boys nn is kinda unisex sounding too.

Evan Lucas is definitely your best bet here. I love the name Luke by itself, by the way.

good luck

I appreciate your input. "Matteo" is the Italian form of Matthew, and yes I do have a strong Italian heritage, which is why I feel it is a good choice to go with my dad's name as
