with the pronuciation i do like it. i just couldn't figure out how to pronounce it at first either. i do like it...very pretty!

If anyone has an idea for a better way of spelling Nyasia (Ny-ay-sha) I'm open.... And Thank you, arcticmomma for your opinion!! I really appreciate it. Let me know if you come up with something.

I really like Nyasia. I think the spelling you have is the clearest and most concise possible. I don't like any of the other possibilities that come to my mind - Nyeasia, Ny-Asia ... It might be one of those names that people just have to hear once, correctly - and then they get it!

It also depends who is looking at the name. I knew how to pronounce it right away, because I'm familiar with similar girls' names. Someone who is not might be confused.

When I named my third son Kevasi (Keh-VAH-se), I tried all sorts of spellings on my co-workers. I picked the one that most of them pronounced correctly the first time they saw it. Maybe you can do similar research?
