Do you like any of the following Boy Names?
- Hayden James
- Hayden Christopher
- Hayden Lane
- Don't really like any of the above!
You will be able to change your vote.

as I suggested on your other post though - I think Holden is a better alternative because Hayden has become somewhat unisex - and Holden could be used with James or Christopher
I voted for Hayden James because I didn't think it was as much as a mouthful as Hayden Christopher.

Before I vote please answer this:
Is Lane a family name? Are any of these family names? I think they all go well w/ the fn. I'm leaning toward James (it sounds the best) but if Lane is a family name & James isn't I think you should go w/ Lane. I love Christopher but it's kind of long w/ Hayden (although they do go together too!).
I voted for Hayden James (it was a tough choice, though). I've thought about using that name for my son. But I'm in the same boat with picking a mn. Hayden is the only boys' name my DH has seriously proposed (I'm considering his other suggestions, "Baby," "Whiskers Junior" (after our cat), "Scooter," and "Squishy," as NOT serious). I didn't have any boys' names, so Hayden has really grown on me, but I can't decide on a good mn either.
I think that family/meaningful names are always preferable to names that just sound good. I've suggested Ross (my FIL's fn) and we've discussed Scott (my DH's mn), but my husband feels no need to settle on a name yet (I'm at 23 weeks), so even "Hayden" isn't settled. Then again, when I told my FIL we were thinking of Hayden, he was like "Where did that come from?!"
As for Hayden becoming unisex: it's still predominantly a boy's name right now. Like Ryan (my DH's fn) is still predominantly a boy's name. Jordan (my fn and that of my 8 year old nephew) is a bit more unisex. (Of course, even when I put my very obviously feminine mn on a resume, people still assume I'm a boy. I know a lot more adult female Jordans than I do adult male Jordans, but apparently that's just me.) Besides, is it a big problem if Hayden is a unisex name?
I'm also not a fan of substituting the obviously masculine Holden: didn't really like Catcher in the Rye. But it's good we don't all have the same preferences. If we did, our kids would all have the same name. And that would be confusing.
Thanks!!
I think you should go w/ Hayden James then. Save Lane for a possible baby girl in the future (or your next boy!). There is nothing at all wrong w/ Hayden Christopher ... I just think James flows a tad bit easier w/ Hayden.
I had written a response to another of your posts the other day about Cadence Lane. That flows well too but I'm not as crazy about the name Cadence. I had suggested to you Marissa Lane. But Cadence isn't bad, either, just not a name I love. If you have your heart set on Cadence I say go with it.
