I knew a Corrine in college. She was very sophisticated so that's what I think of when I hear the name. I love it but DH doesn't.

I love it. I know a 3 year old named Corinne. (I like this spelling better- so it doesn't get prn Cor-reen). I also don't think a nn is necessary - the little girl I know doesn't use one and it fits her just fine!

BTW, her siblings are Christy, Callie, and Paul - all under age 11.

I have seen it spelled Caryn. However, she usually gets her name misprounounced as Karen.

It's not a favorite of mine, but I also don't DISlike it. I think it's a nice enough name... :-) As far as nicknames go, what about Rina or Rinni?

Best of luck to you!

To me, Corrine is cor-reen. Perhaps that's how you want it pronounced. But upon seeing it, Corrine brings to my mind a name I think is beautiful- Corinne- pro. Cor-rynn. This is the much prettier name, IMO, and this is the spelling I like. Rinn or Rinny would also be a cute nn.

If it's Corrine (reen)- I guess you could do nn Rina(reena). Also, if it's cor-reen you're going for, might you consider Carina or Cora. There are prettier versions, IMO.

But, personally , if you're going for the name Corinne, I wouldn't nn anyway because I think the name itself is so lovely. Good luck, Ginger

One of my good friends is Corinne and everyone pronounced it cor-reen so she was constantly have to correct people. In grade school/high school we called her 'frinny' and still sometimes do but not really in public (she's 26 now). I think it's a beautiful name and you don't really see it that often.

I do like Corrine, although you might want to spell it how you want it to sound (Cor-reen vs Cor-rin). I've noticed a few other people mentioned Carina as an alternate - well I love it because that's our DD's name! We've gotten tons of compliments on her name. I always have to spell it for people, but I think that would be the case for Corrine or Carina.
