Is this for a boy? Then, yes! I don't like Elliott at all for a girl, though.

Yes, as a boy's name...I don't like it for a girl either! Sorry I should have clarified that! Thanks!

I like Elliott a lot, but I'm concerned that the name is a lot longer than both Luke and Grace. The three togehter sound slightly off-balance to me. It's a minor thing, but I thought I'd mention it just in case...

I'm totally with you on that one -- Elliott is all boy to me, too! But I feel like you never can tell anymore, so I wanted to clarify. :-)

Thanks for all your thoughts! I really like the name, just unsure of how it fits with our other kids names...that's the difficult thing I'm finding! Hoping this baby has a name by november!!

Hi! I agree with the previous post about Elliot not fitting in with brother Luke and sister Grace. Luke is so strong and masculine sounding...and Elliot, while a nice name, doesn't have that same feel to me. I might steer you toward something equally as strong sounding: maybe Mark, Cole, Seth or something like that. Actually, I love Mark, Luke & Grace together!

Also, one thing to keep in mind is that there are many many little girls these days named Ella, or nicknamed Ella (from Isabella, Gabriella, Elizabeth, etc.), and that might be an kind of annoying for a boy with "Ell" at the beginning of his name. Just something to think about!

Good luck! :)

It sounds like you have a nice biblical theme going on with your names so far....so what about Adam or something in that vein?
