I like the idea of honoring your family by using it in the MIDDLE name spot, but not as a fn for a girl. For a boy, it's fine as a first name. I just don't like any name for a girl that ends in "-son". Not even Alison, and that is a bona fide girl's name. I just think it's silly that it ends in "-son" and it's a girl's name.

But like I said, great mn for

Mason is a very masculine name, in my opinion. I know several boys with the name. I personally wouldn't use it for a little girl ...

Personally I don't care for Mason for a boy either, just NMS. I think way too many traditionally boy names have been

My sister's niece is named Mason. I didn't like it at first, but they call her Masey, which I think is really cute. Also, if it has special meaning, by all means use it! It's really cool to have a name that really means something!

It's a shame that the tryndees have poached this name lately as it makes it all but unusable for people who actually have this as a family name. I dislike it for a girl anyway. Mason is an especially masculine profession.

I don't mind it for a girl at all.
We are ttc and if we're to have a girl we're going to name her Macey - which I love - so, name her Mason and call her Masey. Although at one time we had Mason picked out for a boy. Just make her mn very feminine to make up for the unisex name.

Try girling it up a bit like Mayson or Maeson... I think those are cute and I also think Mason is a cute girl name May for short...
