I do like Micaiah (like Micah and Isaiah), but I thought it would be for a boy. Not sure what I think about it for a girl...........it sounds like McKayla without the l.........

Hmm ... I would vote for something between "like" & "hate" ... probably something like "somewhat dislike". At first it sounded like a boy name so that's why I would vote that way.

As for pronunciation, I would say it Mi(short i)-kye-uh.

Mi-KAY-uh is how it is pronounced. and i love it for a BOY. Micaiah is the name of a male prophet in the old testement of the bible (1 Kings 22, and other places.)

I guess I'm odd, but when I saw the name in the subject I never once thought boy. I assumed it was a female version of Micah (and figured it was pronounced like Makayla without the L, as someone else said).

I don't know, because if you try it like Mikaya.......then it looks like muh-KYE-uh...........How about Micaya or Micaeya...........better pronunciation and less boyish........though now it just looks like a made-up name..........sorry, not much help!

I'm sorry, I dont' really like this one at all... for a girl, especially. It MIGHT be okay for a boy, b/c it follows the pattern of Isaiah, Josiah, etc...but it just has SO many vowels together...I think it looks like a word jumble.

If this name is for a girl, and you are looking to pronounce it: Mih-K-eye-ah, what about spelling it: Makaia? or Makaya? It looks much more feminine....

Best of luck to you!
