does the first mn break up the fn and 2mn enough?

  • I LOVE the name Ailey Adele except 2 "A" sounds
  • Does Ailey Grace Adele sound better
  • we will be going with 2 mn's anyway
  • yes
  • not enough
  • start reaching for a different straw
  • just dont like the names at all

I think it sounds nice, Andrea, and it definitely breaks up the two A names well.

I don't often like two middle names, but I can be persuaded in certain situations (especially in this case, when the two together are still three syllables or less ... more like a combined name than two seperate ones to my ear, KWIM?).

Not positive how it works as far as school forms and so on, but if she ever has to list just the first (ie. if there isn't room for the second on a form or something to that extent), Ailey Grace will sound/look adorable as well.

I do really like Ailey for you, btw. Will you ever call her Aila? hehe ;)

Unless you will be calling her by her fn and mn on a daily basis and registering her that way at school, then go with mn(s) that have meaning. The fn - ln sound is what's important. If the mns have meaning and don't make you burst out laughing when you say them all (for graduation, weddings, etc.) then go with them.

LOL, Kelli, now you know exactly why hubby would'nt let me add Aila to my list. When I said it he looked at me and rolled his eyes "What happened to not going with "A" names so Lexi and this one aren't too "matchy". Dont'ya just love when they mimic us ;). Then he said I could have one or the other and for some reason I fell in love with Ailey as soon as I saw it on that Irish baby names site. So, I had to go with that one. The only reason I still hesitate to think it's **The** name is I'm worried it looks to "trendy" and a variation fron Hailey, which it's totally not KWIM? WDYT?

I like Ailey. I actually saw it the other day and thought it was nice (although I did make the Hailey connection, but in a good way ... it's not as "trendy-sounding" IMO, if that makes any sense lol). And, as I said before, if you want, you could easily use the nn Aila if you ever wanted (thus giving you two names you love lol ... kind of like my Abigail solution hehe). Good choice! :)
