With 3 weeks to go, we're finally down to Forrest or Colin. Any comments/feedback/first impressions? Thanks a bunch!

I love Colin! It is very strong and underused right now. I love its strength and masculinity- it won't be one of those names that goes unisex.
Forrest I'm not nearly so sure on. I could DEFINETLY see it going unisex, but even if that doesn't bother you, it just doesn't seem very strong to me. To me, a forest (even if you stick an extra "r" in there" is a group of trees! I just can't see it as a name, sorry.

Therefore, DEFINETLY Colin... maybe Forrest as a mn?

When I hear the name Forrest, I have a hard time thinking of anything but Nathan Bedford Forrest, the Civil War general and founder of the KKK. I know a lot of people will associate it with Forrest Gump, but the movie clearly states that he was named after his ancestor Nathan Forrest and shows a montage of NBF in his confederate uniform and KKK robes. There was also a short-lived (but highly acclaimed) television show in the 90s called I'll Fly Away set in 1950s South which revolved around the life of a DA named Forrest Bedford

Much prefer Colin! Forrest seems a little heavy to me and always makes me think of Forrest Whitiker. Silly, I know! Plus, one of my best firends is named Collin (2 l's) so I have a soft spot for it!

I don't really mind the name Forrest on its own, but it comes with lots of baggage....Nathan Bedford Forrest, for one, is someone whose legacy I would not want my child to even come close to passing along. And then, there's a good chance he'll be subjected to "Run, Forrest, RUN!" jokes for the rest of his life.

I really like Colin, and seeing as how it doesn't have as many (or any that I can think of) bad cultural associations, I'd go with that.

Both are nice but I much prefer Forrest.
