I would have voted for Ryleigh with a different spelling: Riley or Rylee maybe - but those eigh enders are getting out of hand

I voted for Samantha instead, but I do like Riley/Rylee better

Thanks for the input! I was trying to make the spelling a little more feminine, since traditionally it was a boy's name...but I guess it doesn't make that big of a difference!! I'll have to keep the spelling change in mind! :)

I voted for Samantha. The Ryleigh spelling looks like Raleigh, which makes it look masculine to me.

We have Riley on our list of 5-6 finalists for our new daughter due in early Nov. Personally, greatly prefer the Riley spelling, but voted for Ryleigh anyway. Can't really go wrong with Samantha though either.

It definitely comes down to your personal style or preference.

Riley is a trend. She'll slide right in with the names of her playmates and friends. Variant spellings generally just tend to cause clarification/spelling issues for your child. Since the name sounds the same with either spelling, there is no real benefit--- unless she is being named for someone whose name is Leigh.

Samantha is timeless. She can slide in anywhere.

Grace is more fitting with Samantha, in my opinion.

Best wishes,
