I know a baby recently named Keely and people have been quite negative about the name. Many are confused on how to spell the name and wonder what the origins are. I think that Keeley sounds trendy and juvenile, while Brenna sounds good on a child or an adult.
Just agreeing with the pp. Between the two the choice was easy. I get the same trendy/juvenile feel from Keeley she commented on -- it just doesn't seem a very substantial choice for an infant or adult -- not to mention the whole "keeling over" association (in case you weren't aware of it).
This was an easy choice for me too. I think Brenna is pretty and classy. Keely just seems very cutesy and juvenile. It also seems like just another K--ly name. (Kaley, Kiley, Keely, etc). There are so many variations of the K--ly theme right now that they all blur together and there is constant confusion over pronounciation and spelling. I definitely prefer Brenna.
this was an easy choice for me - Brenna.

Good luck!
