I can see why you're having a hard time.

I voted for Audrey Ellen, which I love, but here are a few more I'd love, too:

Audrey Cathleen (I prefer this with a C, and maybe it would be a good compromise with your hubby over the whole Catherine thing.)

Audrey Frances (Francis is the male spelling, so if you use this, I'd change the spelling for sure. I ADORE Audrey Francesca!)

Audrey's great, by the way. I love this name! Let us know what you pick.

I tend to agree with the others who've voted ... any of the first four would be great (assuming you meant Frances, as a pp pointed out). Francesca was also a great suggestion. My vote went to Laurel just because it seemed the least expected/most interesting choice. ;)

On a sidenote, I'm not sure I understood your comment about your dh liking Catherine but it not being a family name. Kathleen is literally a form of Katherine/Catherine, so Catherine would honor the same person Kathleen is for. Just thought it worth mentioning in case you weren't aware (and I'm sorry if I just misunderstood).

wow...what a tough choice!
I voted Audrey Ellen...but I thought about Laurel and everything but Francis.
With the 2 syll. first name and the 3 syll last name, my first choice would be a ONE syllable middle name. I like the flow of the unbalanced syllables.

What about
Audrey Elle C.
Audrey Laure C.
Audrey Lore C.
Audrey Kate C.
