I voted for Keaton Tanner. Personally, I actually prefer the name Griffin Levi, but with the NNs you've suggested, I just can't imagine having a Wren and a Finn. They sound too much the same. On the other hand, I'm not crazy about Kete as a NN, either, but at least with that NN, you don't have the Wren/Finn confusion. If you don't mind changing it up a bit, I think that Levi Griffin would go well with your other children's names, and then you could just call him Levi--a name that needs no NN and fits better with the sibs NNs than Kete or Finn would. Good luck!

I like both the names Griffin and Keaton, although, I voted for Griffin. However, I am not too fond of the nn's, especially Finn. It reminds me of a fish. Sorry~

It's funny, I get such mixed reactions to my name choices. I either hear Keaton? like Family Ties Alex P. Keaton??? Or I get Griffin? Finn sounds like a fish. I personally don't think of Finn like a fish, I think Finn like Huckleberry Finn, and Keaton like Michael Keaton (Batman)or Kete/Keats like the poet. But, today, I got two new ones...Griffin??? Like the Bearded Dog??? and Griffin??? The mythical Lion/Eagle????

What do you guys think??? From the results of the poll, it seems like Griffin is the more favored choice (as it is mine as well).

TIA,

April (due today, 10/26/04)

I don't think either one is all that odd. I know little boys with both those names and they both were in the top 400 last year, so they aren't too common, but still not way out there. I votes for Griffin because I like the nn Finn much better than Kete (too close to Kate for my tastes and there will most likely be 27 Kates in his preschool class), but both names are very nice IMO. Good luck!

I love the name Keaton! It seems like it would be an adorable little boy's name, but still sound grown-up when he reaches adult-hood. Stick with your original choice!
