  • Name him Elijah (even if you call him Eli)
  • Just name him Eli if you are going to call him that anyway.
  • .

I chose Elijah. I think it's a stronger first name, and like you said, you can call him Eli anyway. I have a few middle name suggestions:

Lowell
Aaron
James
Wayne
Quincy

My friend has a son named Elias Nathaniel... I love that name and combination. I'd choose that and just call him Eli. But, if you don't like Elias... then I'd vote for Elijah for sure. Good luck & let us know what you end up going with.

Just my two cents. I love the name Elijah and thought about it for my second son, but didn't partly because I really don't like Eli. Partly problem of being a teacher--too many difficult Elis over the years.

I love Elias and would call him Elias.

Failing that, I would name him Eli if that is what you intend to call him.
