even in the movie, Anne of Green Gables, with Megan Follows (even her name has diff ways of saying, i would say Megg-ann, she says Mee-gann) there's a girl named Emmeline, Anne & she say Emma-Line... later in a letter, Marilla and the neighbor are saying Emma-Leen. ..and i'm sure many would say Emma-Lynn, as well.
i think all comes down to the area you live, how people around you are acustomed to saying the name.
I'm sure it's already been mentioned (haven't gotten to the other replies yet LOL), but technically it's none of them. The correct pronunciation is EM-e-leen (not quite the same as Emma plus -leen, KWIM?). The second syllable is just a bit softer than the final A in Emma. I did vote for Emma-leen, however, since it's really close.

Ps. As with most names ending in -line, I wouldn't think it too odd to hear this pronounced with a leen, line or lyn ending (much like Madeline, Caroline, etc.)
Okay. I actually was planning on saying it Em-eh-line but it seemed like Emma would be the more popular way of saying it. We say my DD's name Ann-eh-lease not Ann-uh-lease but almost no one notices.
I would notice (and do the same, FWIW)! LOL She definitely is a little Annelise, btw ... adorable! ;) Just wait until you have three little women running around! I do, and it can be quite interesting at times ... wonder what it's like to have a boy? LOL
Yes, you say it sort of like Anne-Elise, right? Not like Anna-Leese? I prefer your pronunciation, though the difference is admittedly subtle.
I say Emmeline like EM-eh-line. I prefer long I's over short ones (witness: I love Caroline, Rosaline, Emmeline, etc.). What other name do you have in mind? And what about middles? Emmeline is a fantastic match for Annelise, by the way. Too bad they weren't twins, actually.
I'm so glad you're back! I've missed you, and I've been just dying to know what names you have in mind!
Here's are the other names. Charlotte - My dad was Robert Charles so that's where this name came from. DH has finally let go of the Sex and the City connection so he's okay with the name. :) Eleanor - The great grandmother I was named after was Vista Ellen. DH likes Eleanor as it's the nn of a car in a movie. Maybe Fast and Furious? Cecilia - I heard it in a song a long time ago and really liked the sound of it. Lila - I've loved this name for a long time. It is visually so short compared to the other names but sounds fine I think. Audrey - We took this name to the hospital when we had Annelise so I don't know if I could use it for one of these girls, though.
Margaret - Both of use liked this name but we're sure if it was a *insert our lastname* kind of name. I like that it's the name of a Queen of Denmark and
Just had to reply again to say I like every single name on your list -- how often does that happen? ;) Your girls will be very well-named.

Ps. I believe Eleanor was from Gone in 60 Seconds. And if dh will agree to it for that reason, all the better (if we someday have a fourth girl, I might have to use that arguement on Jason LOL)
I sincerely love all the names on this list. My dad's name is Charles, so I'm almost certainly going to have a daughter with the middle name Charlotte eventually. I love Elinor (this spelling because of Sense & Sensibility...I was an English major). Margaret, nn Meg, is one of my favorite names, though I probably won't use it. Lila Charlotte, as a combo, is high on my list of favorites, so you can tell that I love that one (I just can't decide whether it's too much to have both a Caroline and a Lila). Although it is shorter visually, it still flows very well with Annelise, I think. They're equally strong and feminine. Audrey seems a little more abrupt than the other names, but I still love it. I used to babysit for an Audrey, so I have a soft spot for it.

I voted for the first but I think any of the pronunciations are correct.
Emmeline, is said all 3 ways.
