Contrary to what your poll states, Emmerson is a beautiful name for a little girl! Our Emercyn Grace was born on October 27, 2004. We couldn't have chosen a better name for her. Believe me, I got dogged when I listed her name on a poll here. Go with your heart and what you like. Remember this is just an opinion poll! Good luck to you picking a name.....I LOVE EMMERSON!

Have you considered Emory/Emmery/Emmarie? That's kind of along the same lines, yet strikes me as more feminine.

But the previous poster is right -- you should go with what you love!

Teri hatcher's daughter is Emmerson Rose-that is where I first came up with it.

You and I must think alike, newmamabear! I like both Emerson and Teagan for a girl, but my DH hated them. I once met a little girl named Teagan and she was the sweetest, most kind 3 year old I've ever met. The connotation with the name stuck with me.

I also like Ellery for a girl and was considering Ellery Maeve for our daughter, but my DH again doesn't like it.

hate it because you misspelled it...the name is Emerson, which I like for a little girl.

as a surname it is automatically a unisex name and it has an obvious and popular nn of Emma or Emmie..LOVE IT!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the name and am considering myself if our bundler is a girl. I would, however, spell it Emerson. That is the "correct" surname spelling. Secretly I *kind of* like Emersyn too, but the whole replace y's for every vowel teasing makes me think twice!

good luck! hopefully you'll see my emerson on polls soon!
