my dd's name is elizabeth so i chose it for that reason too. i love the name i cant help it. I also chose the mn leigh because it sounded the best may be a little plain for some ppl but i love it. Also you can carry on a naming tradition with both you and your mother. I'm sure she would be honored no matter what u chose but IMO this one is the best. Good luck i hope this helps.

My sister likes Elizabeth Leigh, too, bc we'd probably call her Libby Leigh. Ha ha, yes, we're southerners! Thanks for the feedback!

What about Molly Elizabeth, Pheobe Elizabeth. Elizbeth seems like it is more of a mn then Deborah. My moms name is Zella so I look at it more of a fn.

Zella Elizabeth

Zella Amalia

Deborah Amalia

Good Luck

I chose Amalia but I prefer that name to the nn of Molly.

Rather than vote, I decided to comment, b/c I like a lot of your choices:

  • Molly Deborah: I don't really like the name Molly, so this would be at the bottom of the list for me. I think Molly is cute for a nn, but not a given name....
  • Phoebe Deborah: very nice, but I think i like it even better switched around: Deborah Pheobe.
  • Gwendolen Elizabeth: one of my favorites! I think this one is great!
  • Evangeline Elizabeth: Love the name Evangeline, but not paired w/Elizabeth. Maybe something like Evangeline Bethany?
  • Elizabeth Zella (Zella was my gm): I like Elizabeth and Zella, just not paired together.
  • Amalia Elizabeth (called Molly): Like the

Gwendolen Elizabeth got my vote, it's pretty and underused!

I love the name Elizabeth and it sounds perfect with Zella. I love the double Zs! Also, it's such a nice way to honor your mother and grandmother. Elizabeth Leigh it also beautiful.

    Good luck!

I prefer Deborah. Elisabeth is a great name, and it goes w/almost anything. But I think it's overly used. Like I said, I like Deborah, but not any of the combos you have. I like Molly a lot, too, but I'm not so sure about Molly Deborah. It just doesn't flow right to me. What do you think about Deborah Molly and call her Molly? I know a few friends who go by their middle names.

I guess I have been leaning away from using Deborah as a fn because I wouldn't want her called Deb or Debbie, but I would like to honor my mom. If we used the name Elizabeth, I think she would be called Libby. I do like Phoebe, but dh says he's worried everyone would think we were getting it off the tv show friends, when in fact I like its Biblical reference as well as the meaning (shining).

Ha ha, also we asked our 3yo ds today whether he liked Molly or Phoebe (dh loves the name Molly) and he said he wanted "Fifi"...hmmmmmm...maybe a deterent in the brotherly nn...

    Thanks for all your suggestions...

btw, what about Deborah Evangeline? Too much?
