Mary is so sweet on a little girl, and not trendy or popular in the least (I only know one little girl named Mary, and she's about 10 or so now I think). Mary Kate is also a cute nn.

Anabelle (or any of the belle names) are not my style. Besides being quite trendy/popular right now, they always remind me of Clara Belle (a stereotypical cow name ... but then I live in a rural area LOL). But like I said, I know the -belles are uber-popular at the moment, so it's probably safe to say no one else will think this. ;)

I think you could also get away with simply Madelyn Kate if you wanted (since I know Kathryn doesn't flow with it, and you mentioned you were just trying out Reese (which is far too masculine for my taste ... the only girl I've ever heard of with this name is actually Therese Marie, and they call her Reese or Reesie quite often).

Obviously if Reese is too masculine, you know my thoughts on Spencer already. ;) Incidentally, I know it's part of the whole Cooper/Carter/Dexter/Baxter-sounding names trend, but I know a LOT of little doggies named this, if that would bother you (not sure how popular it is with this particular population, but I know you can look it up somewhere). Just a thought!

HTH :)

I like Madelyn Reese, however the name Spencer for a girl is harsh. I would be mad if that was my name. Mary Katherine sounds like a nun.

When dh and I were first married we did the 2's and 3's Sunday School class in our church, and there was a little girl named Spencer who had these big brown eyes and dark hair. We always said if we ever had a little girl we imagined she'd look something like that, so we've always loved the name. It's been on our list for a girl every time I've been pregnant.

Mary is my MIL's first name and Kathryn is my mom's name. I have reasons for the names I like. I don't mind you giving your opinion, just wanted you to know I have my own and that's why I would consider them in the first place.
