I voted girl. Here in the States it is mostly used by girls, that I know of. I have friends from the UK and Australia that use it as a boy's name. I don't really care for it but do think of it as a girl's name.

To me, it's a boy's nn, for Robert. I think it falls into the girls' camp because it's a nickname! Tell your sister not to sweat it too much, what's done is done and join the crowd of us with boys' names ( I belong too!). Then again, she could always change her name.. I'm nearly 40 and toying with the idea myself.. I'm tired of having a boy's name!

It's a girl name. It's my name! But i spell it with a "Y". Robyn. I hated it when I was younger, but it has grown on me and I like it now!

To me it is a girls name. The only male Robin I know is the actor Robin Williams. I like the name~

It's my name, too! But spelled Robyn. I also didn't really like it growing up, but like it now... and do like it better for a girl when you spell it with the 'y'.

BTW, I think it's funny the 2 Robyns who responded are both PG with twins. HA
