I voted for Delainey, but please lose that I in there - Delaney - don't put her up for a lifetime of mis-spelling. although I voted for that before I read the whole post and realized the last name ended in "icki". any long-e sounding name might not sound so good with 'icki'. of all the names on your list I think Kaitlyn or Katherine are your best best with 'icki'. but again, you have unnecessary letters in your spelling of Kaitelyn. Either go Kaitlyn, Kaitlin or Katelyn and nickname Kate.

I voted for Elizabeth Veronica (Lizzie). Not only am I a big fan of using family names, I think Elizabeth is one of the most versatile classics out there. As she grows she can go from Lizzie to Liz, Beth, Bessie, Betsy, Lily, Eliza, etc. How lovely to have a link to Great Grandma! I also think a classic name with a complicated name suits so much better! If she's going to have to spell her surname, why not give her a first name that she won't have to spell out all the time! (If my SO hadn't changed his name to mine, our kids would be three syllable L***icki!)

How'd I get him to change to my surname? His choice, actually; we're not married but the kids are his so he chose to go with the paperwork through the courts to make hs surname the same as mine & the kids. Mine's three syllables too but very, very Scottish rather than Polish, so we had to be simple with the spellings too even though we chose more unusual (for the times) first name. My oldests are almost 20 themselves and have mentioned that they're grateful their names are easily spelled & pronounced. I'm hoping the same will hold true for my 1 year old daughter! I think Elizabeth Veronica's a fantastic choice that she'll appreciate at every stage in life. Definitely store it away for future use!

Hi, I love the name Delaney, which led me to ask, since your name is Polish, would you consider Milena (Muh-lay-na - has an accent over the E). It's Polish and I think it would be so stylish and sophisticated, yet sweet!

This may be a different name but Malina is the polish name and it actually means raspberry in polish. I really like that name but my DH vetoed it! Malina is pronounced - Maw-Lee-Naw

Katie

Ps If you were to spell it that way - Milena and pronounce it in Polish it would say -
Mill-ay-naw
