Help an Indecisive Sister Out! Which baby girl name is prettiest/best sounding?!

  • Lucy Mouchette (pronounced MooSHAY, like Bobby Boucher from Waterboy)
  • Madeline Mouchette (love this, but not wild about Maddie)
  • Annabel Mouchette
  • Camille Mouchette
  • Kate Mouchette
  • Sylvie Mouchette
  • Name that flows beautifully but isn't posted (please share!)

I voted for Camille, but I would LOVE Camilla! There are some great names on this list. Honestly, I like any of them. For Lucy, though, I'd probably name her Lucia and call her Lucy.

By the way, I almost voted for Sylvie. It was a very close second. Gorgeous!

Sylvie Mouchette - I like this, but why not Sylvia, nn Sylvie - Sylvie seems like too much of a nn...

Lucy Mouchette -- this seems much too easily morphed into "Lucy Moosey" ... pretty obvious teasing potential, especially if she's ever a bit chubby or clumsy (as many children are at some point).
Madeline Mouchette -- I agree with you. Madeline is wonderful, but I'd use a nn other than Maddie. Madeleine (ma-da-LEN) would be even better with your ln.
Annabel Mouchette -- the -bel(le) names are not generally my style, but this works for you, and I much prefer it to the Annabelle spelling.
Camille Mouchette -- this works well too.
Kate Mouchette -- don't care for Kate as a given name.
Sylvie Mouchette -- this GMV ... lovely. I also like Sophie for you.

Of the names posted I like Camille & Lucy best. But I like Cecelia or Celia better!

annabel and sylvie are both very pretty and feminine names! some other suggetsions for first names: gabrielle, julianne, isabel ( i know this one is getting popular, but it does sound pretty, especially with your middle name)

I voted for Sylvie.

Edited because I read your other post with the explanation for Mouchette.

Here are my thoughts

Lucy Mouchette - This is gorgeous. I love Lucy, it is so sweet. This GMV
Madeline Mouchette - Madeline, and all Maddy names, are really trendy right now. I would avoid it. Also, I would avoid a name beginning with M as it gets too mathcy
Annabel Mouchette - Gorgeous. I love Annabel, and love the nn Annie
Camille Mouchette - I love Camille, but it isn't my favourite with Mouchette
Kate Mouchette - Love Kate, but Kate/Katherine/Catherine/Kaitlyn/Caitlin is really popular, so I would avoid it. Seems a bit plain and common now. Also, it doesn't have the greatest flow
Sylvie Mouchette - Like this, flows well, don't love Sylvie though.

I like Lucy and Annabel best.

I know this sounds rude, but Mouchette sounds so much like "mouchoir"- the French word for tissue. :/

:-(
I'm having a hard time deciding!! lol...I like a lot of your choices.

I love the name Lucy, I think it's so cute! Not sure about it with your name- I mean, it sounds lovely, but yet I feel like there is something even "better" out there...

I love the name Madeline but I think it's pretty popular, and since you're not too crazy about Maddie anyway....

Annabel is nice, but I'm not too crazy about how it looks with Mouchette

Kate is nice, but you have so many other striking choices, I'd leave this one out.

Sylvie Mouchette- I like it, but again, I have that feeling that there is something "better" out there...

Camille Mouchette- I love this one!!! It sounds very French to me...

I think I'd pick Camille or Lucy...
