Bella Marie - not a fan of all the -bella/-belle names so popular right now, especially just Bella by itself, but thought I would mention a friend recently had a baby named Isabela Maria, called Bella Mia ... just a funny coincidence ;)
Cara Mia - I think Cara is both simple and sweet, and it got my vote ;) ... would also work with mn Marie if you wanted
Giovanna Marie - this is nice as well. Of course, now I can't remember for sure, but my cousin's wife's daughter's name (from a previous marriage, so I don't know her that well yet LOL) is either Giovanna or Gianna, and they call her Gigi, which is a cute nn you could use for this is you wanted ;)
Some other Italian girly names you might like:
Fiorenza
Flora
Fiora (the mn we're using for this baby ... can be considered a form of Flora or Fiona, so I think it gets the Italian in there ;)
Mirella
Sidonia
Sofia (although all forms of Sophia are popular at the moment ... ditto Isabela)
Tessa
Abriana
Abrielle (my oldest's mn ... a fem. form of Abraham but always seems to be listed as Italian)
Agnola (means Angel and has the nn Nola, which I do love)
Allegra (different and cool ;)
Caprice (meaning whimsical; unpredictable)
Chiara/Ciara/Ciana (can also be Irish-related names but the Italian pronunciation is kee-AHR-ah/kee-AHN-ah)
Gemma
Ilaria (Italian variant of Hilary)
Nerissa
Rosalia/Rosalie
Tea
HTH! :)

Bella Marie - Just ok. This doesn't really attract me as a regular name but as a nickname, it's fine.
Cara Mia - I like this name. There is even a very pretty orchestral song with the same name. One of the mom's in my scrapbooking group is named Cara, but she is the only Cara I know.
Giovanna Marie - I like this name. It's different, yet a traditional italian name. As it inevitably is shortened by kids, there's also a lot pretty nicknames you could come up with (Vanna, Jee Ya (I'm just spelling phonetically, Anna).
I like Italian names, but am not personally too fond of your choices. First of all, it would Maria in Italian, not Marie. Secondly, Bella and Cara are words, not names, in Italian. Bella means beautiful, and Cara means dear. Cara Mia means "dear me" or "dear one to me".
What about Isabella Maria with a nickname of Bella?
Or Cara with a different middle name, so her name isn't a saying? Or Clara, which is another Italian name?
My favorite Italian names would be:
Sophia
Isabella
Francesca
Annabella
Clara
All of those would work with Maria as a middle name!
I voted for Bella Marie
My name is Valentina and i think it is Italian just incase u like it
A couple more names I didn't think of before. I had a coworker from Switzerland who Dad was from Northern Italy. Two of the girls were named Ilea and Ilona. These were names already in his family, so technically Italian. Marie works well with both of these as a MN as well. So, I hope this helps with your search!
Ilea Marie
Ilona Marie
I looked these names up:
Ilea
Pronounced "eye Lee ya" [note: her Dad said "ill lee ah", but said Americans pronounce it with the "eye" part.
Meaning:
Variation of Helen, 'The light of the sun'.
Origin: Greek
Alternatives: Ileea, Ilia, Ilya.
Star Trek fans would remember the character Ilea from Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
Ilona
Pronounced "Ill Lone Ah"
Meaning: Light.
Origin: Greek
Alternatives: Ilonna.
The spelling Illona (two L's) means something completely different. Ilona was my friend's name.
Arabella
Carina
Lucia
Natalia
Tessa
Also if you're a fan of the Food Network, Giada is the name of the host of Everyday Italian.
Christine
I voted for Cara Mia because I like Cara, but I don't really like it with Mia. It's a little too cutesy for me knowing the translation. I had a friend named Giovanna who ended up changing her name to Joanna in highschool because she wanted a less ethnic sounding name. I think I picked up on how uncomfortable she was with her name and therefore it's not my favourite.
Other italian names- many of which are from my husband's italian family:
Elena
Noemi
Caterina
Lucia
Mattea
Milena
Daria
Delia
Gemma
Simona
Sonia
I work with a woman whose Italian father named "Marisa". She seems to like it!
Good luck!
