I had to vote for Douglas, although it's not my favorite name out there. Jadynn is WAY too trendy, and this spelling looks like one of the many female Jadynns out there. Somehow Ham McPickle just seems cruel. Sorry. :(

I just could not get on board with the nickname of Ham, sounds almost cruel. Jadynn is too trendy for my tastes. Douglas gets my vote.

Well, I understand why you would think that Ham McPickle is mean, but my last name is NOT McPickle. It just rhymes with McPickle. I think the nickname Ham is really cute.

Now you've peaked my interest. What kind of name rhymes with "McPickle"? I really think you should reconsider your Ham idea. That poor kid will grow up with so many bacon jokes that he will need therapy by the time he's 5.

You are entitled to your opinions about the names that I have suggested, but not about my last name. I can't change that. And that's not the point of the poll, anyway.

Our family loves ham, bacon, and other pork products, so such comments would not offend us.

I would really hate to see a kid with the nickname Ham

Jaden spelled this way would be fine for a boy - the way you spelled it screams out girl

I voted for Douglas even though I think it's a little out-dated - not classic/traditional, but kind of just men in the 60s down to 20s, but not used much since then

keep looking would be my advice

how about Holden as an alternative to Hamlin

how about Jared as an alternative to Jadynn

how about Derek or Dylan as an alternative to Douglas

good luck

Your family now may be in love w/ all pork products including ham but there is no telling how your child will feel about them. I would definitely nix the "Ham as a nickname" idea. Sorry! :) I do like Hamlin, although I voted for Douglas as I am more mainstream.

Good luck!

I couldn't even vote, sorry, but I think they all are horrible. I think you should keep looking.
Instead of Hamlin, how about Hunter?
Instead of Douglas, maybe Kevin or Jordan?
Instead of Jadynn (very feminine), how about Jaden, Hayden, or Caden?
