Here is our "short list" for girls names! - PLEASE VOTE
- Addison Elizabeth Prentice
- Madeline Elizabeth Prentice
- Madison Elizabeth Prentice
You will be able to change your vote.

I posted to you below so I'll just copy & paste my post here... :-)
All of your names are very popular right now so I discounted that factor when looking at them.
OK, I pointed this out on the last poll for Annabel, so maybe it doesn't matter to you...and if that's the case, then that's fine. I just wanted you to be aware, yet again, that Addison Elizabeth's monogram will spell APE. In the area where I live, it is very popular to monogram little girl bags and dresses, and as she grows up, she may want her stationery to have an embossed or engraved monogram. APE is not a great one.
Again, if this doesn't matter to you, then I'm sorry. I don't want to step on any toes. But it's something that isn't always obvious, and it's something that I would definitely want someone to point out to me, just in case I hadn't noticed it about the name that I had picked out.
I voted for Madeline because even though it's gotten pretty trendy, it's still a very good name. I can picture a newborn with the name, but I can also picture a future CNN White House Correspondent or Supreme Court Justice named Madeline. Even though my favorite spelling is Madeleine, I definitely prefer Madeline over all the Maddylyns, Madelyns, and Madelynns. And, both Maddy and Maisie are very adorable nicknames.

No, her *initials* would be AEP. In a *monogram*, the last name initial goes in the middle, and it's larger than the first- and middle-name initials, which are printed on the left and right sides, respectively.
Here is a link to a site that monograms children's items. Notice that the last name letter goes in the middle, and is larger.

I voted for Addison because there are a lot of Maddies out there (both Madison and Madeline), so Addie is more unique. Although I haven't read any other posts about this, so perhaps you won't be calling her Addie...
Looks like I'm getting outvoted, though!
I love Elizabeth because it's my middle name, too!
Best wishes, Joanne
thanks for all the responses so far! .....
I had a thought over the weekend ... do you think our daughter will have trouble with people mispronouncing her name if we name her Madeline? we would pronounce it as Mad-Ah-LYNN, but I read one of those "Madeline" story books and realized that with the same spelling they were pronouncing it Mad-Ah-LINE (rhymes with fine), which I don't like!!
I had trouble all my life with people mispronouncing my name and it can be SO frustrating! - I just don't want her to have to go through that. What do you think?
Madison is WILDLY popular - Addison I just don't at all, not feminine in the least, so I voted for Madeline - it's growing in popularity, but not to the degree of Madison.
however, all of the Madison's and Madeline's and Madalyn's are all called Maddie.
